Rodeo
Northwest Tech Rodeo is an institutional member of the NIRA (National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association) and competes in the Central Plains Region. The season consists of 10 rodeos and the opportunity to qualify for the CNFR-College National Finals Rodeo held annually in Casper, WY. The Mavericks rodeo program includes a club and a team. The rodeo club supports the team through fundraising efforts and rodeo related activities; further, the club promotes interest in rodeo and enhances the knowledge and experience of club members. Members are expected to pay club dues, attend meetings, assist at practices/workdays, and other club functions. Through the generosity of the John Boyington family, Northwest Tech has a practice facility in close proximity to the college. Club and team members are expected to help maintain the facility and in return, not only have the use of an arena, but boarding for their horses as well. |
