Northwest Tech Students Advance in 2013 SkillUSA Competition

Numerous Northwest Tech students competed in the state SkillsUSA contest in Wichita, Kansas April 24-26. Students at Northwest Tech competed in the areas of Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration; Electrical, Communications Technology, Auto Service Technology, Diesel Technology, Carpentry, and Related Technical Math.


Northwest Tech Graduation Scheduled for Friday, May 17, 2013

Northwest Tech is honoring 2012-2013 graduates an annual commencement ceremony on Friday, May 17, 2013. This year marks the 48th graduating class with approximately 140 students graduating from one of fifteen technical programs. Kansas Lieutenant Governor Jeff Colyer, M.D. is the keynote speaker for the event.


Northwest Tech Starts Unique Crime Scene Investigation Tech Program in August

Northwest Tech achieves another first -- The CSI program is the first of its kind in Kansas. Recently the Kansas Board of Regents approved the Crime Scene Investigation Technology (CSI) program slated to begin in August 2013.


Northwest Tech Replaces Tuition Assistance Program for Active Duty Military

Active duty military personnel who would qualify for the discontinued federal Tuition Assistance program are eligible to receive a Northwest Tech scholarship covering the cost of tuition in technical programs for the 2013-2014 academic year.
