Welcome to Fort Hays Tech | Northwest!
As a first-year student at Fort Hays Tech | Northwest, you are an incredibly important part of the campus and community.
Transitioning to Fort Hays Tech | Northwest is an exciting time, and you are faced with unique challenges ranging from getting connected on campus, choosing a technical program, meeting new people on campus, getting involved in the community and more.
Tiger Enrollment Days and Pre-Registration sessions are dedicated to assisting first-year students in a successful transition to Fort Hays Tech | Northwest.
Plan to join us for one of our Tiger Enrollment Days and Pre-Registration sessions on the Northwest Tech campus. You will learn more about Fort Hays Tech | Northwest, meet with an academic advisor, be guided through the class selection process, tour departments and housing facilities, and meet with financial aid. All of our enrollment sessions are one-day events with check-in at the Fort Hays Tech | Northwest Admin Building.
Activities start promptly at 8:00 a.m or 1:00 p.m. Depending on what session you attend.

Before You Come
Step 1: Sign up for the event
Sign-up for one of the Tiger Enrollment Days or contact Fort Hays Tech | Northwest’s Admissions Team by calling 785.890.3641.
Step 2: Complete your admissions file
By submitting the following items to the Fort Hays Tech | Northwest Admissions office you will complete your admissions file:
- A Fort Hays Tech | Northwest Application Completed and Submitted
- High School or GED Transcript Submitted
- ACT or AccuPlacer scores taken within the last two years
- Completed FAFSA using Fort Hays Tech | Northwest’s School Code: 005267

The Day’s Activities
Check-In at Admissions between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (MST)
Pick up the your enrollment passport. Your passport will guide you through all of the steps you will need to complete your enrollment. You will visit with Admissions, the Registrar, Business Office/Financial Aid, & the Bookstore.
Campus/Housing Tours
If you are interested in living in one of Fort Hays Tech | Northwest’s residential spaces, you may tour the dorms on one of the Tiger Enrollment Days. Upon completion of the enrollment process campus and housing tours will be available.
Required Down Payments
Please expect to pay down payments on books, clothing, housing, and tools while you are at the Tiger Enrollment Days. Some programs do not require uniforms and/or tools, and therefore down payments for these items will not be required for specified programs. A $200 down payment for housing reserves your space within Fort Hays Tech | Northwest’s housing. If you plan to live off-campus the housing fee will not apply.
Test Scores
Bring your ACT/SAT test scores, otherwise, you may be required to take the AccuPlacer Test which is a computer-adaptive college placement test. Testing will be available on the Tiger Enrollment Days.

Tiger Enrollment sessions are held in the Fort Hays Tech | Northwest Administration Building, located at 1209 Harrison, Goodland, KS 67735. Please view the campus map for additional detail.
Parking
Parking at Fort Hays Tech | Northwest is free. Please view the campus map for recommended parking spaces.
