Resources for Remote Instruction

Making the move into a remote instructional environment at Northwest Tech will be challenging at times, but this also creates a moment in time where we have the opportunity to think differently about how we deliver certain (not all) aspects of technical education. It gives us a chance to use many new and familiar technologies to deliver course material in ways perhaps some of us haven't done before.

For others, who have logged hours of experience converting materials for online delivery through Moodle or another LMS, perhaps this is an opportunity to try something new or pause to evaluate current methods and tools.

Moving into a remote teaching and learning environment is different than the occasional E-Day we have been accustomed to using in the past. This is five weeks of remote instruction, but it's also an opportunity to learn new tools and techniques, so that when we return to our traditional classes next fall, we will have more tools in our teaching toolbox.

This page will hopefully provide numerous technology and teaching tips that Northwest Tech employees will find beneficial for the transition to remote instruction. And while these resources are here, don't forget the most valuable resource on campus - each other. Reach out and collaborate. :)

**One caveat, in some cases the term FREE has some time limits depending on how long the COVID-19 pandemic lasts.**
